The 2024/25 season has seen so far the departure of five sides from the National League South, with champions Truro City earning a place in the National League whilst Aveley, St Albans City and Welling Utd drop to the Isthmian Premier Division and Weymouth who drop to the Southern Premier South. The sixth side to depart the NLS will be either Boreham Wood or Maidstone Utd who play their play-off final this Sunday, 18th May.

Coming down from the National League are Ebbsfleet United who return to the division after two seasons at step 1 along with local rivals Dagenham and Redbridge and Maidenhead Utd.

Isthmian League Premier champions Horsham will play in National League South for the very first time after clinching a last day promotion, topping the table on goal difference from Billericay Town.

Dover Athletic return after just one season away following their dramatic play-off semi-final win at Billericay Town which was followed by a convincing 2-0 win at Dartford in the final.

The final side to join the division are AFC Totton who won their Southern Premier South play-off final at home to Gloucester City. They went one better this time around having lost to Salisbury in the play-off final twelve months ago.
