Tuesday 31st August AFC Hornchurch Player Sponsorship - Change to How Sponsorship Monies are Paid The Club have requested that all player sponsorship monies be paid DIRECTLY TO THE CLUB. This can be done by cash or cheque. Cheques to be made payable to AFC Hornchurch (2005) Limited. Both Colin and Ken will be pleased to accept sponsorship money. |
Monday 30th August AFC Hornchurch 2 Wealdstone 1 The Urchins preserved their 100% home league record by claiming all three points against a dangerous Wealdstone team. The Stones took the lead early in the second half but ten minutes later the Urchins were level following a Tommy Black penalty. Then just two minutes later Leon Hunter hit was to be the winner and sent the fans home happy. |
Saturday 28th August Urchins F.A. Cup News The Urchins will be at HOME to Oxhey Jets of the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division in the First Qualifying Round of the F.A. Cup. The tie will be played at Bridge Avenue on Saturday 11th September, k.o. 3pm. The Jets earned the right to play the Urchins with a fine 4-1 victory over St. Margetsbury in today's Preliminary Round. We look forward to their visit. |
Friday 27th August Two New Singings for the Urchins A big welcome to Ollie Morris-Sanders (goalkeeper) who joins us from Aveley and to Lewis Smith (striker) who joins us from Thurrock. Both players will be available for tomorrow's RPL game vs Kingstonian. Ollie will be excellent cover for Darren Behcet who sadly has broken his wrist and will be out for some time. |
Saturday 21st August AFC Hornchurch 1 Cray Wanderers 0 The Urchins started the new League campaign with a well-deserved home win courtesy of an 11th minute Martin Tuohy goal. It was a confident and energetic Urchins performance and were it not for a hatful of near misses and fine saves from the Wands 'keeper the scoreline could have been much different. The spitit shown by the team in this curtain-raiser bodes well for the new season. |

Saturday 7th August Urchins Boost Strike Force (from Ryman League Website) JIMMY McFARLANE, manager of Premier Division Hornchurch, has given his striking options a further boost by agreeing terms with prolific scorer Martin Tuohy. The Ryman League's Golden Boot winner in 2008-09 scored 39 Division One North goals for East Thurrock and over 50 in all competitions, Tuohy joined Aveley last season and netted 24 times in the Premier Division as Millers finished in a shock third place. He was one of a number of players who followed manager Rod Stringer to Conference South club Braintree in the summer but was released last week. McFarlane has already brought former Hornchurch strikers Jamie Richards and Rikki Burbridge back to Bridge Avenue, while Jo Flack is nearing full fitness after missing the closing stages of the 2009-10 campaign. |
Friday 30th July News from the Club - Update We are delighted to announce that our shirt Sponsor for 2010/11 is EASTWAY SCAFFOLD. We also welcome other main Sponsors who include HILLS PROSPECT, 5 START BATTERIES and R.P. MARTINS. Many thanks to you all and we anticipate a very successful season for both Club and Sponsors. Season Tickets are now available at the Club. Cheques should be made out to 'AFC Hornchurch 2005 Limited'. Payment by cash is also acceptable. The admission prices for the West Ham friendly will be £5.00 for adults and £2.00 for everyone else. The admission price for the Kelveden Hatch friendly will be £2.00 for everyone. Season Ticket holders will need to pay for admission to our two home friendly games. By early next week we should also be able to announce our squad who have signed for the coming season. |
Thursday 8th July Home Draws for the Urchins in the FA Cup and FA Trophy AFC Hornchurch have a HOME draw in the First Qualifying Round of the FA Cup on Saturday 11th September. We will play one of the following .. Oxhey Jets, Hatfield Town, St. Margaretsbury or Welwyn Garden City. In the First Qualifying Round of the FA Trophy we are at HOME on Saturday 16th October to either Brentwood Town or East Thurrock United. In the FA Youth Cup we are away to Chelmsford City w/c Monday 6th September. |
Monday 24th May Admission Charges and Season Tickets Ground admission prices for season 2010/11 will be unchanged from those of last season. Season Ticket prices will also be unchanged. Supporters renewing their Season Ticket will be allocated with the same reserved seat as for last season unless they advise otherwise. |
Sunday 25th April Urchin U18's Clinch League Title Congratulations to Larry Pattison and his very talented U18's squad who claimed the EJA Essex North League Title this afternoon with an emphatic 4-1 home victory against Bealonians. Today's win was their ninth successive League victory and crowns an excellent season which also saw the lads travel to Italy and win the Adriatic Cup, beating German side Hurth 6-0 in the Final. Well done everyone we are so proud of you all. |
